YoungLives of Greater Holland County

This spectacular organization, a division of Young Life, works actively to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. YoungLives accomplishes this in several ways, including a mentoring program, meetings and Bible Studies, an annual camp just for teen moms and their children. Through this program they are able to not only share the love of Jesus with teen mothers, they also help these young mothers to develop the life and parenting skills, assets, and attitudes to reach their goals and become contributing members of society.

Caroline Eaton applied for a TTR grant of $10,000 that would send 18 teen moms and their children to YoungLives Camp at Timber Wolf Lake. Every summer, hundreds of teen moms and their children travel with their mentors to Young Life’s camps for a week of adventure, relationship building, and the opportunity to hear the Gospel in a relatable and impactful way. For many of these young mothers this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that has the potential of impacting her life and her child’s for eternity.
