Alive Ministries

Alive Ministries’ Food Pantry Initiative (Now part of MUST Ministries)

Location: Marietta, Georgia, USA

Impact:

In Marietta, many families in low-income communities struggle with food insecurity, facing the daily stress of not knowing where their next meal will come from, which impacts both children’s health and their ability to focus in school. Alive Ministries partners with local public schools to address this need, ensuring that families identified by school social workers receive vital support. The emotional burden of hunger weighs heavily on parents and children alike, hindering their well-being and potential. A $10,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Caroline Kern, enabled Alive Ministries to build new food pantries and stock existing ones in low-income schools, providing nourishment and hope to families in need. This grant empowered Alive Ministries to provide:

Construction of brand-new food pantries in local public schools, expanding access to essential food resources.

Stocking of existing pantries, ensuring a steady supply of nutritious food for families identified by school social workers.

Support for community well-being, alleviating hunger and fostering stability for children and families to thrive.

Thank you Caroline for your dedicated commitment to nourishing and uplifting Marietta’s most vulnerable families through this impactful initiative!
