Effective Ministries’ Orphanage Kitchen Project

Location: Niger, Africa

Impact:

In Niger, where poverty severely impacts vulnerable children, the 70 orphans at an Effective Ministries-supported orphanage have faced ongoing struggles with food insecurity, often relying on spoiled or inadequate meals due to the lack of proper kitchen facilities. This hardship takes a profound emotional and physical toll, limiting their health and hope for a brighter future. A $14,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Hunter Bilotti, Paulina Bilotti and Carter Vaughan, transformed this reality by funding the construction of a fully equipped kitchen, providing these children with access to fresh, unspoiled food for the first time in their lives. This initiative nurtures their well-being and fosters a sense of care and stability. The grant enabled Effective Ministries to provide:

A fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, and cooktop, ensuring the preparation of fresh, nutritious meals.

Reliable access to healthy food for 70 children, supporting their physical growth and development.

A nurturing environment that enhances the orphanage’s ability to care for children, offering hope and stability for their future.

Thank you Hunter, Paulina and Carter for your unwavering dedication to improving the lives of orphaned children in Niger through this life-changing project!
