Effective Ministries - 2017
Location: Niger, Africa
In Niger, the world’s poorest country, where 50% of the population is under 15 and poverty severely limits educational access, children often walk over two hours each way to reach school, facing significant barriers to learning and growth. A $21,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, represented by Paulina Bilotti & Carter Vaughn, doubled to $42,000 through a matching fund from Schools for Niger, empowered Effective Ministries/The LINK to build a three-classroom block for a Christian school serving the GSO Orphanage and surrounding villages. This initiative provides accessible education, equipping children with knowledge and skills to break the cycle of poverty, pursue brighter futures, and contribute to their communities, while fostering spiritual and academic development. The grant enabled Effective Ministries to provide:
Construction of a three-classroom block, reducing travel burdens for children and expanding school capacity.
Essential classroom resources, creating a supportive environment for learning and spiritual growth.
Infrastructure to serve the GSO Orphanage and nearby villages, promoting long-term community development
