Hope Heals Local

Hope Heals Local’s Regional Gatherings

Location: Atlanta and Birmingham, USA

Impact:

Families affected by disabilities often face relentless emotional and logistical challenges, with limited opportunities for rest, connection, or support, particularly for those unable to attend Hope Heals’ week-long camp due to waitlists, travel constraints, or work commitments. Hope Heals, a Christ-centered organization, offers transformative resources, rest, and relationships to these families through its camps and year-round support. For many, the isolation of caregiving can feel overwhelming, making accessible community events vital. A $15,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Kyla and Meira Robinson, enabled Hope Heals Local to launch its first regional gatherings in Atlanta and Birmingham, providing evenings of respite care tailored to families living with disabilities. This grant empowered Hope Heals Local to provide:

Recurring regional gatherings, offering accessible respite care for families unable to attend Hope Heals Camp.

Tailored programming, including meals and activities, fostering connection and support for each family member.

A foundation for community-building, enhancing emotional and spiritual resilience through shared experiences.

Thank you, Kyla and Meira Robinson, for your dedicated advocacy and commitment to uplifting families affected by disabilities through Hope Heals Local’s mission of hope and care
