Kids 2 Leaders

In Georgia, children of incarcerated parents often face emotional and financial hardships, lacking stability and access to enriching experiences that foster hope and growth. The stigma and challenges of their circumstances can make it difficult to break the cycle of incarceration. Kidz2Leaders, a faith-based organization, provides these children with a Christian community, stability, and opportunities to thrive through transformative programs like summer camp. A $15,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Leighton Chally, Sarah Kate Smith, Andrew Rothwell, and David Rothwell, enabled Kidz2Leaders to send 12 students to camp and provide essential items, empowering children with hope and practical support. This grant empowered Kidz2Leaders to provide:

Full funding for 12 children of inmates to attend summer camp, offering a week of Christian community, mentorship, and fun.

$600 to purchase clothes, sheets, and towels for campers in need, ensuring dignity and comfort.

Opportunities to break the cycle of incarceration through spiritual growth, positive relationships, and skill-building experiences.

Thank you, Leighton Chally, Sarah Kate Smith, Andrew Rothwell, and David Rothwell, for your passionate advocacy and commitment to advancing Kidz2Leaders’ mission to provide stability and hope to children of inmates!
