Must Ministries - 2021

In Marietta, Georgia, many families struggle with food insecurity, unable to afford perishable, nutritious foods like dairy and produce, which impacts the health and well-being of around 800 men, women, and children monthly. MUST Ministries, a servant-led organization since 1971, connects those who want to help with those who need it most, providing critical support through its Marietta Client Services location. Limited refrigeration capacity risks food spoilage, restricting access to fresh donations and partnerships with food banks. A $10,850 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Whitefield Academy eleventh grader Jonathan Kern, enabled MUST Ministries to purchase a solid door freezer, enhancing their ability to store fresh food and serve the community effectively. This grant empowered MUST Ministries to provide:

A solid door freezer, increasing storage capacity for perishable foods to support approximately 800 individuals per month.

Expanded access to nutritious, fresh foods like milk and vegetables, improving health outcomes for families in need.

Strengthened partnerships with food banks, ensuring a reliable supply of unspoiled food to meet community demands.

Thank you, Jonathan Kern, for your passionate advocacy and commitment to advancing MUST Ministries’ mission to nourish and uplift Georgia’s most vulnerable families!
