PAWKids - 2023

In Atlanta’s underserved communities, children face rising challenges with obesity, often lacking access to safe, engaging opportunities for physical activity and education on nutrition. This can take a toll on their physical health, emotional well-being, and confidence. PAWKids is dedicated to supporting parents in the complete development of their children—physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually—through holistic programs. A $12,980 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by ninth grader Cole Rabalais, enabled PAWKids to launch a bike and wellness program, empowering children to combat obesity through exercise and nutrition education. This grant empowered PAWKids to provide:

E-bikes and regular bikes, offering children fun and accessible ways to engage in physical exercise.

Bike racks, safety gear, and bike locks, ensuring secure and safe participation in the program.

Nutrition and wellness education, fostering healthy habits and empowering kids to thrive physically and emotionally.

Thank you, Cole Rabalais, for your passionate advocacy and commitment to advancing PAWKids’ mission to support the holistic development of children in Atlanta’s communities!
