SafeHouse Outreach’s Caseworker Initiative
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Impact:
In Atlanta, individuals experiencing homelessness face immense challenges, from lack of shelter to limited access to resources that could lead to stability, often feeling overlooked and hopeless. SafeHouse Outreach, founded in 1982 by Philip Bray, provides a “hand-up, not just a hand-out,” helping the homeless transition to independent living through comprehensive support. The absence of dedicated caseworkers can hinder personalized guidance critical for navigating these challenges. A $5,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons enabled SafeHouse Outreach to hire a new caseworker, enhancing their capacity to serve Atlanta’s homeless population with tailored support and compassion. This grant empowered SafeHouse Outreach to provide:
A new caseworker to offer personalized guidance, connecting individuals with essential services like housing, employment, and recovery programs.
Enhanced support for the homeless, fostering pathways to stability and self-sufficiency.
Strengthened outreach efforts, aligning with SafeHouse’s mission to restore lives through compassionate, faith-driven care.
Thank you to the representatives of SafeHouse Outreach for their unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of Atlanta’s homeless through dedicated service and support!
