The Collective-Cumberland Community Church’s Opening Our Doors Program

Location: Cobb County, Georgia, USA

Impact:

In Cobb County, countless individuals experiencing homelessness face cold nights without shelter or sustenance, grappling with the uncertainty of where they will sleep or find their next meal. The Collective at Cumberland Community Church, represented by Anna Figaretti, unites partners from government, business, education, and other sectors to restore the community through employment, education, and social development. For many, the simple act of finding a safe place to rest and a warm meal can restore hope and dignity. A $5,000 grant from Bright Futures Foundation empowered The Collective’s “Opening Our Doors” program to provide overnight shelter and meals to Georgia’s homeless. At a cost of $1,000 per night, this grant funded five nights of operation, directly serving 250 individuals with a safe haven and nourishment, fostering stability and community connection. The grant enabled The Collective to provide:

Overnight shelter for 250 individuals across five nights, offering a safe and warm environment.

Nutritious meals to support the health and well-being of those in need.

A foundation for community restoration, aligning with The Collective’s mission to uplift through compassionate service.

Thank you, Anna Figaretti, for your dedicated leadership and heartfelt commitment to transforming lives through The Collective at Cumberland Community Church!
