Eleventh grader Annabelle Gallacher is requesting $10,000 for The Joseph Sams School. This grant would complete funding for a new safety surface for the school’s playground area increasing accessibility for children regardless of ability. The surfaces are wheelchair friendly, flat, andenable secure footing to meet the needs of children who have mobility challenges.The new playground would instill a sense of independence and confidence in all children as they try new activities.

The Joseph Sams School, Inc. is a private, non-profit school serving children from birth through twenty-two years of age who have mild to severe intellectual and/or physical disabilities or diagnosed developed disabilities. The school provides intense educational training as well as speech and language therapy for its students.
