YoungLives’ Camp Experience for Teen Moms

Location: United States

Impact:

Teen moms across the United States often face overwhelming challenges—social isolation, financial strain, and the weight of parenting while still young themselves—leaving them longing for hope and guidance. YoungLives, a division of Young Life, reaches these young mothers by modeling Christ’s unconditional love through mentoring, Bible studies, and a transformative annual camp at Timber Wolf Lake. For many, the emotional burden of navigating motherhood without support dims their dreams and potential. A $10,000 grant from Ten Thousand Reasons, applied for by Caroline Eaton, enabled YoungLives to send 18 teen moms and their children to camp, offering a week of adventure, relationship-building, and exposure to the Gospel. This once-in-a-lifetime experience equips them with life and parenting skills to become confident women and contributing members of society. The grant empowered YoungLives to provide:

Full funding for 18 teen moms and their children to attend YoungLives Camp at Timber Wolf Lake, covering travel, lodging, and activities.

A week of mentorship and spiritual growth, sharing Jesus’ love to inspire hope and resilience.

Opportunities to develop parenting and life skills, fostering personal growth and community impact for both mothers and their children.

Thank you, Caroline Eaton, for your dedicated advocacy and commitment to transforming the lives of teen moms and their children through YoungLives’ Christ-centered mission!
